Delivery Information

Homescapes product range is vast; as a result the shipment (package) sizes are also different. We ship small packets of soft furnishings and also ship van loads of bulky hardwood furniture to our customers. The delivery mechanism is diverse for smaller and bulkier shipments and is explained in the sections below:

Delivery Time & Conditions:

We endeavour to ship the goods out of our warehouse within one working day of receiving the order. The goods are stocked and shipped from our central distribution centre based at Great Bridge, Tipton.Over 95% of the orders of items in stock are shipped within one working days of receiving the order.

The goods are shipped using a courier service (We use a range of them like DHL, DPD, Parcel Force or Home Delivery Network) or Royal Mail. The carrier is chosen depending on the size of package and the location of the customer. Most of the carriers deliver within 24 hours (next working day) and the maximum delivery period being 3 days. So if you need a guaranteed next day delivery, please choose the option of expedited shipping which is the next working day delivery service. Deliveries to Ireland, Highlands, offshore Islands and Western Europe take additional 2 to 3 days.

If the item is temporarily out of stock or is in transit awaiting replenishment, then our effort is to inform the customers either by changing the lead times on the website, or informing them individually by email or phone.

Important Information, Please read Carefully

Except Royal Mail, all other couriers require a signature on delivery. They attempt to deliver to the neighbours as a standard practice (applicable for most couriers in the UK), your order will not be delivered if there is no one to sign for it and the goods will be returned to us by the couriers. In such an event the postage will not be refunded. If the buyer's address is difficult to locate or needs special instructions for the couriers, then these must be notified with the order as lack of such information results in failed deliveries.

If you have not received your order within 4 working days, you must get in touch with us so we can investigate the status of your shipment as we expect all orders to be delivered within that period. Please note that most couriers do not entertain claims for shipments more than three weeks old and we have to notify them of any losses within that period or we lose our right to claim against the loss. For this reason, we will not be able to entertain any claims of non-receipts after two weeks of our shipping the orders.

Delivery Zones & Delivery Charges
The UK destinations are divided into the following zones.

Zone 1
England, Wales and parts of Scotland, excluding Highlands and Islands. The zone is made up of all postcodes not mentioned in zones 2 and 3.

Zone 2
The Highlands and Islands of Scotland - postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, Northern Ireland.

Zone 3

Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly -postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25.
And the Channel Islands.

The delivery charges for UK destinations for non-bulky items are as follows:

Zone 1 : £4.99
Zone 2 : £9.99
Zone 3: £11.99

The delivery charges are fixed as long as the order fits into one large carton approx. 90x60x30cm and (volume) weight of not more than 30 KG.

PS: Homescapes reserves the right to define the Zone for your delivery and applicable postage will apply.

For all other international destinations which are not mentioned in the list above, the delivery charges will be quoted for your specific order. Please get in touch with us prior to placing order.

Furniture and Fragile or Bulky Items.

Delivery Zones and Charges.

The Furniture or bulkier items are only delivered in the Zone 1 of the UK, which includes England, Wales and Scotland (excluding Scottish highlands and Islands).

The delivery charges for Zone1 is: £19.99

For Scottish highlands and remoter location, there shall be an additional charge based on the volume of the order.

We do not deliver furniture to channel islands or international destinations at the moment, but shall be shortly commencing this service to certain European destinations. We shall be updating this information.

Delivery Time & Process:

Delivery Time: For items in stock, the delivery period can be from a couple of days to a couple of weeks depending on the runs of our vehicle.

We prefer to deliver these items on our own vehicles. There is a distinct advantage in delivering ourselves to the customers. The main benefits are:

The furniture is shipped very safely and the customers receive it in pristine condition
The customers can check the furniture in our presence and there is no ambiguity at all about what we are delivering and what you are receiving.
We work with you and try to accommodate delivery time as much as possible.

All the packaging material can be disposed by us if requested.

In rare event of any fault with the product, it can be taken back immediately rather than you trying to rearranging collections.

We can address all your questions about your furniture (how to care etc.) whilst delivering.If an urgent delivery is required or if our vehicles do not have a run in your area (usually for remoter destinations), then we use a pallet service for delivering your furniture. This delivery normally takes 2 to 3 days.

If the item is not in stock, then we notify you the tentative delivery time. Most items if not in stock are either in production or on in transit and are back in stock in a few weeks.

Important Information for Furniture Delivery.

Please note that the delivery charges of furniture are highly subsidised by Homescapes, and in event of a return the actual delivery charges will be deducted, which will be a minimum of £40.00. Pallet deliveries are made to the kerb side as the drivers are not insured to deliver in your property. The driver needs your signature, so please make sure you are available to accept the delivery. We strongly recommend checking your package thoroughly before you sign for your delivery. In event of breakage during transportation, the carriers cannot be held responsible if you have signed for receiving the goods in good condition.
